Communities: Together We Are a Force for Good

We aim to be a good neighbour wherever we work, by contributing to the well-being of our fenceline and national communities. We do so by working together to manage the social impacts of our business activities, address any concerns about our operations, and enhance the benefits that we are able to bring. Our aim is to give back and help drive positive change in our communities.

In Trinidad and Tobago, our sustainability strategy has evolved through the collaborative effort between Shell and the communities that we work in. In this way, we are able to create shared value for all parties, and shift the focus to the people of Trinidad and Tobago.

We are present in a number of communities across the country, from Mayaro to Matelot, engaging our stakeholders in various initiatives. With the recent impact of COVID-19 on communities across Trinidad and Tobago, Shell contributed over $3M TTD in support to its fenceline communities through donations of food hampers over a period of 3 months, as well as provision of devices to students without access.
